HOW I TRAVELLED DELHI TO RISHIKESH IN JUST 1400 BUCKS | Rafting+Meals+Travelling | Everything

Hi Misers, LOL. I am the one as well!

I believe it is not bad to be a miser and save money instead of unnecessary spending just for the sake of Instagram and snapchat stories. 'No Offenses'  :)

NOTE: THIS BLOG IS WRITTEN FOR STUDENTS AND THE ONES WHO ALWAYS RUN SHORT Of MONEY :P  | ABSOLUTELY NO A/C COACH & HOTEL ROOMS |

So Let's start with how to manage Rishikesh Trip in just 1400 bucks including Everything | Rafting+Meals+Tickets

It is basically a 26 hrs trip, starting from Friday at 9 pm and ending on Saturday at 11 pm. Rest on Sunday is highly recommended ;)

The plan starts with booking the train tickets, the first and the most important thing you need to do is plan as per the seat availability of the trains. Okay, BUT WHICH TRAINS ? I have sorted this question out for you guys:

  • Train No. 1 : | Delhi to Haridwar | The name is Mussoorie Express |

Will leave from old Delhi Railway Station at 9.50 pm and reach Haridwar Junction at 5.45 am, so I suggest to have dinner at home before leaving and reach the station by 9.30 pm to avoid any inconvenience. Sleeper coach is nice and comfortable for a good sleep of about 7 hours. You doesn't have to hassle much.

Ticket Price: 190 bucks only | Non A/C Sleeper |

Reached Haridwar ? Happy ? Good !

To go for the 'Mutravisarjan' and 'Shochalya' you will have 2 options, first one is to use the train toilet and other one is to use the public convenience near Har ki Paudi | Whichever suits the best |

So once you come out of Station by 6 am, take a good morning walk to 'Har ki Paudi' (1.5 km approx. Perform some holy rituals, take a bath at Ganga ji, wash away for PAAPS and head at any restaurant for Breakfast (Kachodi, Poori-Sabzi etc and Chai.)
| Cost: 60 bucks |

Done with the breakfast ??? Nice !

Spend 2 hours at Har Ki Paudi (6.30am-8.30am). Now, let's head towards Rishikesh for Rafting: Take an auto from Har ki Paudi to Laxman Jhoola, Rishikesh
| Cost: 40 bucks |

@ 9.30 am | There you will get to see a lot of Adventurous Sports Shops & Dealers. Inquire from 3-4 dealers and then choose the best. The River Rafting I am talking about covers a distance of 16 km starting from Shivpuri and back to the source. Once you confirm with a Dealer, they take you in their vehicle with some other Rafting companions. That ride to Shivpuri will give you amazing mountainous views all around you.

| Cost: 500-600 bucks per person |

*** |10 am- 1 pm | The Rafting Experience | Mind Wobbling | It cannot be explained in words, it is better you experience it yourself there and the awesome views | Haseen Wadiyan |***

During the rafting, you will have 'one' stoppage there known as Maggie Point. Have some Maggie and selfies there and if you are brave enough to jump from 20 feet | Go On | Free Cliff Jumping
| Cost for Maggie: 40 bucks |

After that, the raft will head toward the source | Laxman Jhoola @ 1 pm | Take an Auto back to Haridwar.
| Another 40 Bucks|

@ 2 pm, Manage to have a lunch at any hotel in the market and do some quick shopping. | Lunch: 150 bucks |

  • Train No.2: | Haridwar to Delhi | The name is Yoga Express |

After lunch and shopping, try to reach Station by 3 pm and train will be waiting for you there, will leave from Haridwar @ 3.20 pm and reach Delhi @ 11pm.

 | Ticket Price: 185 bucks |

Take a FULL DAY rest on Sunday so that you can get back to work on Monday....

TOP 5 OVERRATED FOOD JOINTS IN DELHI

Hello people, Hope you all are doing great as always. Today I will be revealing top 5 overrated eateries or restaurants of the Capital. First things first, I have visited all these places may be more than thrice since 2015, so just sharing my views over it. 4 out of 5 are in Old Delhi :( Here are my top 5 picks: 1. Karim's, Jama Masjid I believe that every Delhite have been there once in their life (except vegans :P) and had a great meal there but I know most of you weren't that amazed with the food. No? There was a time in late 90s or early 20s when Karim's was one of a kind but now he is having multiple competitors who are serving equal or better cuisines at a lower price of course.  I went there sometime back and ordered 'Chicken Mughlai' and 'Jahangiri Qorma' both the gravies were similar, the only difference was chicken and mutton. But if you haven't been there, you can definitely consider it for a fine lunch or dinner.

Delhi's Super 30 - Free School Under The Yamuna Bank Bridge

Hello people, Super 30 inspired me to write this blog as a similar story is taking place under the Yamuna Bank Metro Station Bridge. He is not yet great as Mr. Anand Kumar but still he has taken an initiate to become great from just being good. The Big Story Underneath the Yamuna Bank metro bridge, is a unique school which has neither uniforms, nor classrooms - called simply the ‘Free School Under The Bridge.’ It offers a ray of hope to the forgotten children of daily wage and domestic workers of the area. With over 300 students coming in regularly, from grades 3rd to 8th, the classes are divided into two shifts, where the boys are allotted the morning slot and the girls the evening slot.   Founded by Rajesh Kumar Sharma in 2010, the school started its journey with only a couple of students. Kumar recounts, “I want them to have a future, their parents don’t care about studies, they are uneducated. But, I know education is important for all children. I want to work f

REVEALING KFC'S SECRET 'HOT AND CRISPY CHICKEN' RECIPE

Hello Folks, This blog was planned for some days later but as the KFC has already declared 6th July as the 'National Fried Chicken Day', I can't think of a better day to do it than today. So, here I am....   I personally did a lot of R&D on this recipe to make it as much close as possible, and I believe that I made it. Let's start ;) The most important part in this recipe is the chicken cuts, never buy curry cut chicken from any store like 24x7 or any other place, the reason behind is Curry cut chicken has 12-14 pieces of a chicken, but KFC has only 10 (except neck and liver) and for that you need to go to a butcher shop by yourself and advice the butcher, before they chop chop your chicken.   Once you get that chicken home, wash it properly and marinate it. Yes, just like tandoori chicken, it also goes through a marination of about 4 hours. Some KFC recipes over the internet says to marinate it in buttermilk (lassi) but that is not my pick for sur
